A Few Ingrown Hair Removal Tips

Ingrown hairs are a nasty part of the grooming process. They occur when
a hair does not grow out of the follicle properly. The hair folds back
into the follicle causing redness and irritation. While there are ways
to reduce the chance of occurrence, it inevitably happens some of the
time. Follow the steps below for the best way to remove ingrown hairs.

1. Clean The Area
Grab a clean cotton ball or cloth. Use a cleanser and rub the area in a
circular motion until you have removed dirt and debris.

2. Use Heat
Hop in the shower or place a hot compress on the affected area. The
heat will cause the skin to soften making the hair rise to the surface
of the skin in turn making it easier to remove.
3. Exfoliate (If Not Infected)
Exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells and sometimes is enough to
remove the blockage keeping your hair from growing out of the follicle
correctly. Grab some exfoliation product and rub lightly in small
circles. Rub faster until you see the hair come out.

4. Get the Tweezers
Grab a pair of sharp tweezers and lightly tug at the hair. Don't tug so
hard that you remove the hair. Tug enough to bring the hair to the
surface and remove it from growing back into the follicle.

5. Shave
Once the hair is out above the skin, grab a razor and shave the area.

6. Disinfect
Once the hair has been removed, add an anti-bacterial solution to the
area. This will help the area heal properly and avoid infection.

Nobody likes to get ingrown hairs. They can be unsightly and downright
painful. By following the tips in this article you will leave your skin
looking and feeling great.
